Now, with version 10.12, Apple is once again going back to the Mac - specifically, to macOS. ![]() Then came the NeXT acquisition, and with it, OS X. A long time ago, on a platform far, far away, Mac OS was the branding Apple used for the software that ran on all of its computers. ![]()
